ISO 18587 is an international standard that specifies the requirements by which conformance for post-editing of machine translation output can be referenced, with an annex describing the limited post-editing of machine translation output service.
It specifies the requirements for the process of the full human post-editing of machine translation output, and for post-editors' competences.
ISO 18587 is intended for use by translation service providers, by their clients, and by post-editors. It applies only to content processed by machine translation systems.
